DESCRIPTION:<p data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Circular fashion narrati
ves focus on materials and waste. Water\, meanwhile\, remains linear: ext
racted\, used once\, discharged. This oversight costs communities\, ecosy
stems\, and supply chains.</p>\n<p>This talk reframes water as the founda
tional circularity challenge in textile production. We'll discuss closed-
loop water systems not as nice-to-have but as circularity infrastructure?
examining wastewater treatment performance\, reuse rates\, and water risk
assessments as markers of genuine circular practice. Drawing on field ex
perience in South Asian textile hubs\, we'll explore the questions factor
ies need to answer and brands need to ask: Are water systems designed for
reuse? Do treatment systems work? What does water justice look like at s
cale? When water stewardship becomes systemic\, it transforms supply chai
n resilience and community water security simultaneously.</p>
