Elena Capillo is a Materials and Nanotechnology Engineer specialising in sustainability and circular product development. She works as an Innovation Analyst at Fashion for Good in Amsterdam, Netherlands leading materials validation projects with a focus on recycling technologies, assessing performance, environmental impact and end-of-use scenarios. Elena bridges material science and commercial application, supporting the industry in reducing adoption risk and accelerating the transition to more circular solutions. She holds a Master's degree in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology from Politecnico di Milano, where her research explored 3D-printed structures for wearable applications.

Research Associate

Johannes studied “Textile Structures and Technologies” at the Technical Iniversity Chemnitz and has been working with Sächsisches Textilforschungsinstitut e.V. (STFI) since 2018. In 2020, Johannes became a Research Associate at the organisation. His work focuses on the optimisation of mechanical recycling technologies and the needed input composition as well as the processing of recycled fibres and the design for and design with recycling. He is a member of a number of national and international working groups and standardisation committees surrounding the circular economy or circular textiles. Johannes also gives lectures at the TU Dresden, the TU Chemnitz and the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee, all in Germany, on textile waste management systems and textile recycling.

Inge brings a strong background in global supply chain management, with deep expertise in embedding sustainability into operations and driving meaningful process change. She is motivated by delivering long‑term improvements in operational sustainability and product circularity—work she has led at ReBound for over five years.

In addition, Inge leads the operation network for Reconomy Textiles EPR programme, ReDress, coordinating its operational network and integrating the Recycle, Comply, and ReUse loops to deliver a scalable, global solution for circular textiles.

Inge believes sustainability and circularity are best achieved through collaboration. By developing solutions that create value for both organisations and the planet, she aims to make a tangible contribution to climate improvement.

Aimee Campanella is Development Director – Textiles EPR at Reconomy, where she specialises in guiding clients through the complex and evolving landscape of global textiles Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation. She works closely with brands to navigate regulatory requirements, helping them understand their obligations, achieve compliance, and implement practical solutions that support both business objectives and legal requirements across the value chain.

Beyond compliance, Aimee is passionate about accelerating the transition to a more circular textile industry. Through Reconomy’s extensive network, resources and partnerships, she supports brands in developing and scaling reuse initiatives that embed circularity into their operations. Her work spans take-back schemes, circular business models and innovative recycling solutions, helping organisations reduce textile waste, extend product lifecycles and unlock new opportunities within the circular economy.

Aimee’s passion for sustainable fashion began during her time at Bristol Textile Recyclers. Prior to that, she describes herself as a typical high-street shopper, caught in the cycle of fast fashion and overconsumption. Working in textile recycling exposed her to the environmental and social impacts of disposable fashion and proved to be a pivotal experience that reshaped both her personal outlook and professional career.

Since then, she has embraced a more conscious approach to consumption, prioritising second-hand fashion, sustainable brands and longer-lasting purchasing decisions. This personal commitment underpins her professional mission to drive systemic change within the textile sector. She believes sustainable fashion is not only about the products people buy, but also about creating the systems, infrastructure and policies that support longevity, reduce waste and promote responsible production and consumption.

Today, Aimee is recognised as a leading voice in textiles EPR and circularity, helping brands prepare for regulatory change while identifying practical pathways towards a more sustainable and circular future.

CEO and Co-Founder of COLOURizd

Jennifer Thompson is the CEO and Co-Founder of COLOURizd, a global startup rethinking textile coloration by redesigning the wet-processing stage of manufacturing to dramatically reduce water and energy use while eliminating wastewater. She is a textile innovator and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience across global manufacturing, product development and commercialisation.

Jennifer previously served as Director of Textile Design at Target, where she led large-scale textile design and sourcing initiatives and has held leadership roles across multiple textile innovation startups. She is passionate about systems-level change and helping future business leaders understand how sustainability and economics must work together to drive real impact.

Strategic Partnerships Lead

Lucy Hall is Strategic Partnerships Lead at Reskinned, a leading circular fashion platform helping brands build commercially viable solutions for resale, takeback, reuse and recycling.

With a background spanning entrepreneurship, fashion and commercial partnerships, Lucy previously co-founded circular fashion platform LOANHOOD and now leads brand and commercial growth at Reskinned. Her role focuses on developing strategic brand partnerships and exploring new channels and models that can make circularity both scalable and commercially sustainable.

Lucy is also completing an MBA at Durham University Business School, where her research explores the role of live commerce in driving growth within circular business models while maintaining the principles of sustainable consumption.

Senior Business Innovation Lead

Jessica Robe is senior business innovation lead at WTiN, where she leads consultancy projects and contributes expert insight to WTiN.com. Her work focuses on emerging technologies, materials and solution providers across the textile and apparel value chain, with particular emphasis on functional and sustainability-driven innovation. Jessica also heads WTiN’s sports and outdoorwear coverage, tackling the likes of  circular business models, safer chemistries, user-centric design strategies and shifting market dynamics.
